Why did you go into medicine?

Although, neither of my parents were doctors, they inspired me to genuinely care for people.  It was a natural choice for me.

Was there any key person, milestone, or pivotal moment that helped you become who you are as a provider?

During Internal Medicine Residency, geriatrics was presented as a new field back then.  I found caring for seniors enlightening and inspiring, and that experience led me to a most rewarding career in Geriatrics.  I have had no regrets.

Reflecting on your career, what has been the most rewarding part?

The most rewarding part of my career has been the opportunity to forge close relationships with others - especially with my long term patients and their families - assisting them and being a part of their journey!

Why did you choose to work at Leggett Medical Group?

Dr Leggett and I have each had our own Geriatric Medical Practices for decades - and that is no easy feat.  We have become friends over the years and have helped and supported each other stay independent, because we feel we can provide better care and spend more quality time with our patients.  I help her and she helps me – so we can continue to provide the best care possible for our patients.

What do you like to do in your spare time?

In my spare time, I love to do medical missions.  When I “retire”, I would love to travel more and do even more medical missions, where I can genuinely give care to the needy!
